I don't know if this will be any help, I wrote it myself for my GCSE drama and got a fairly high mark for it so it could be okay. When she talks about owen she needs to go a bit distant.

No luv, no you can go now.
Help. Now I am past 80 they insist in coming’, I can’t abide people really, I’ve had a bad past with people, so I turn to cats. Cats, are nicer than help, And they are easy to understand I can raise cats, I have three at the moment, Thomas Brianny and Mina. They are nice they are cats, never hide anything, and yowl if you do anything wrong. You can’t always tell with people, I can’t see them; I lost my sight years back, so you never know how they feel. I rely on hearing and feeling. People can sound happy if they are sad and sweet if they are cruel, but cats always let you know. I remember my first cat, don’t know where she came from but just seemed to adopt my place as hers. She arrived shortly after my husband had left me, and I needed someone to look after, as well as them to look after me. I called her Casey, and she kept me sane, I don’t know what would have happened if I hadn’t had Casey. I couldn’t have her forever though, and she did eventually pass away, but not until after she’d had a litter of kittens. It wasn’t a big litter, only 3 or 4, and I sold some, so I was left with 2, Jack and Janie, I raised them from kittens, Jack was a devil, always getting into scrapes, just like Owen used to be before he left me, but I won’t get into that. I guess that’s why I loved him so much, He would spend hours in the garden, then come in covered in mud, and just flop onto me, expecting cuddles whereas Janie stayed at home, sprawled in front of the fire or purring quietly on my lap I loved Janie too, she were sweeter, and would try to help as much as a cat can, though generally making more mess. But I think I loved Jack more, He was wild, and fought for what he wanted, generally that being wet Cat food, but knew he would leave at some point, and I were prepared when he did. Jack were Thomas and Mina’s dad, the mum was a cat down the street, the owner was going to sell all the kittens but I made sure I got the two. Jack disappeared shortly after the kittens were born, I never knew what happened to him, but Janie adopted the kittens as her own. A year or so later she had 5 kittens; I sold the four oldest and kept Brianny, the youngest of the litter. Janie died last year aged 12, so I am just left with the 3 now. It were had to raise them, Brianny were barely more than kittens when Janie went but she they managed fine. I think that’s why I bonded closer with her than any other cat, just like her mum she prefers to be in the house and spends most afternoons in my lap, purring while I gently stroke her nose and scratch her ears. Thomas and Mina are just like their dad, and I have a harder time with them as they make me think of Jack too much, and Jack makes me think of Owen. I’m not a crazy cat lady, I’m just an old woman, who likes cats, and very nearly went crazy.
