Eh..people are not all the same, plenty of standards and mentalities (not to mention IQ) among all groups.

Does it make me racist toward my own if I kinda look down on some other white woman who happens to be a trashy skanky redneck you know what that has the brains of a doorknob? Nope.

It’s not racist to not support the behavior of all and any. There are certain things that people *should* be trying to work their way out of and not be glorified for it.

Anyone who does support such behavior…that only helps the situations stay around longer while they do nothing but b*tch and moan about it, with no action to try to change anything.

It is embarrassing every time we see another black person doing something illegal or stupid. But you see, it is embarrassing for every race to see their own people doing that stuff. One major difference between us and them is that the media, movies, and videos always portray us as that guy doing that thing. There is almost never a camera around when a white guy is arrested, a black person does something stupid, cameras all day on the 5, 6, and 10 o’clock news.

Blacks traditionally don’t have much. This is partially our fault, partially not. I had a friend in high school whose mother made him sell drugs because there are no businesses he could work at in the hood and they had no car. He had to support his mother and siblings, only 1 employer hired someone with the limited clothing and transportation that he had.

White criminals rarely live a life of crime out of necessity. Some like the thrill, others are trying to get over, still others commit crimes without having the chance at getting caught. Sure, there are blacks with the same situations, but there are a lot fewer of us doing it out of want than out of necessity.

Many of our youth have no fathers. They aren’t even persuaded to do well in school. How can a man make money with no education or discipline? He has to hustle. Can’t get a real job. You can’t pay rent on minimum wage, especially if you have a family. You get more money and cheaper rent on welfare than McDonalds.

So this guy was born into poverty, had a loser for a mother, no one for a father. Never learned in school because he was always taught that only punks and nerds cared about school. Not like they sent good teachers to these schools, so where is he supposed to learn the value of education? Not at home, not at school, no where. So then what, he gets to 16 and realizes there are three types of people in his neighborhood. Those that work at McDonalds having to catch the bus or driving a car that may or may not start. Those that are walking around drunk or high or only living to get drunk or high. And those that are driving that luxury car, the only symbol of status in this kinda neighborhood. These are the guys that sell drugs, bootleg, and hustle for a living.

You might hate that some CHOOSE to stay at the bottom, but not everyone chooses everything. I was lucky, you are probably lucky. When you were 10, if someone asked you would you rather drive a new BMW/LEXUS or a beat up YUGO/ESCORT I guarantee you wouldn’t pick the latter. 4 years earlier, if someone said you could either go play/watch tv or do your homework/chores I guarantee you would pick the fun with. Cause you haven’t learned the to pick the other one yet.

Jewelry, rims, loud music, nice cars, nice shoes, etc. All of these are status symbols. I have status symbols too. My car, my clothes, my investments, my neighborhood. There’s not much difference between us, I was groomed for one, they weren’t groomed for any thing. It’s a miracle that some of us make it out. Through all of this, some of us do better. Some of us make it.

You do realize we have only been equal members of society for 30 years right? This society they have been equal in for 120 years we just got the right to go to college, get jobs after college, get loans to open businesses, and have the same hobbies as them. We are almost 100 years behind them. My father wasn’t allowed to go to the library where he got his PhD. They have never had that problem except when there was no library. They have inheritances, trust funds, college funds, etc. What do we have? A 1% chance at making it. Still far more than 1% actually make it. I’m impressed by my people more than I am embarrassed by them.
